A post-mortem examination will be carried out on Prince’ body today, Friday, April 22 to determine how he died, as tributes continue to pour in to the star.
The American musician, hailed by Sir Elton John as the ‘greatest performer I have ever seen’, was found collapsed in a lift at his home in Minneapolis on Thursday, April 21.

Medical staff tried to revive the 57 year-old but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A cause of death was not immediately given but TMZ reported that he had been treated for a drugs overdose days before his death.
