Here is the story of how Bamike Adewunmi-Olanibuyan and Tope Adenibuyan became the first BBnaija couple to welcome a baby together.
Teddy A and Bam Bam met on Big Brother Naija, “Double Wahala” in 2018. They were one of the most controversial couples in the house. They started off as housemates and developed a deeper bond as their stay in the house grew longer.
They fell in love despite Teddy-A’s relationship. When they got evicted from the house only about 48 hours apart from each other, they decided to continue their relationship out of the house. Bam Bam told NET, “we didn’t plan for any of that to happen. We didn’t even know that it was going to be a thing like we came to meet it. So we weren’t about it because of the game. We were about it because it just happened.”
Post-BBNaija BamTeddy
When the BBNaija reunion was aired in March 2019, they were still a couple and already dropping hints about getting married. Teddy A told Ebuka during the reunion show that understanding each other had kept their relationship going. He said, “Honestly, I don’t know but I feel it’s more about how we feel about each other like she said. “We weren’t each other’s types and I didn’t like the fact that she carried the whole ‘I am a church girl’ attitude. “As we spent time together, she saw what was inside. We have come to understand each other’s differences and respect them.”
The Fairytale Wedding
In December last year, there were rumours that Teddy-A abused BamBam. But a visibly agitated and pregnant Bam Bam took to Instagram to share a video debunking those claims. They then went back to business as usual, sharing beautiful moments of themselves with fans through social media. They announced the birth of their first daughter via Twitter at 2:46 am on March 5, 2020. Teddy-A shared her name saying, “And she is here!! Zendaya Folakemi Adenibuyan #BamTeddy”.
