Former Arsenal superstar Thiery Henry could be on his way back to Arsenal on loan from New York Red Bulls in January, according to manager Arsene Wenger.
The all-time goal scorer has been told by the club he can keep in shape at their London Colney training base during the Major league soccer off season.
It has also been reported that there is a strong possibility that the informal situation could even extend into a second loan spell at the club where Henry enjoys legendary status.
Arsenal don’t really have a great plan of play this season but bringing Thiery Henry as a backup plan to play along with French forward Oliver Giroud will make a great deal and a such a move is a distinct possibility.
The 35-year-old made an instant impact in his previous loan return to North London scoring within 10 minutes of coming on as substitute against Leeds United and adding a premier league winner against Sunderland.
Henry maybe of more use this time around as he has had a strong season with the New York Red Bulls this term.
And Arsene Wenger wants to strengthen his squad with a new Centre-forward in the window January….
Fingers crossed?
