The Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach Stephen Okechukwu Keshi turned 52 on Thursday, Janaury 23, 2014.
He’s promised there’ll be no celebration until Nigeria wins gold at the on-going African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament.
Last night, the Super Eagles made a dramatic second half comeback against Atlas Lions of Morocco winning the quarterfinal match 4-3. Keshi has been praised by Nigerians for advancing his team into the semifinals.
Former vice-president Atiku Abubakar gave Keshi a belated birthday shout out some hours ago. ‘Happy Birthday, Coach Stephen Keshi. I cannot say how much I appreciate what you have done for Nigeria. Very proud of you!
Keshi also led the Super Eagles to victory at the African Cup of Nations in 2013, ending a 19-year losing spell.
