26-year-old Canadian singer, The Weeknd, 26 and his supermodel girlfriend, 20-year-old Bella Hadid have split up after 18 months of being together.
The stars, who only made their debut red carpet appearance earlier this year, might have broken a few hearts with their breakup as they were considered couple goals by many.
Back in December, Bella had gushed about her love for the singer when she appeared in Glamour magazine, stating that ‘I’m dating Abel. I don’t see him as The Weeknd. I’m proud of The Weeknd and the music he makes, but I really love Abel.’
A source close to the hit-maker said it was a mutual decision and that the two stars will remain friends, considering how much respect they still had for each other.
I bet some of the singer’s female fans are ecstatic at this news as it means he’s a single, available man again.
