Not only did Angelique Kidjo make Africa proud with her lovely African Ankara print ensemble that features a gown and head tie at the 2015 Grammy Awards which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 8, 2015, she also won big at the awards.
The singer/songwriter won her second Grammy for World Music for the album, ‘Eve,’ which is her way of paying tribute to African women and the essence they represent.
The 54-year old didn’t hold back as she struck a pose in her outfit on the red-carpet. She won her first ever Grammy award for her 2007 album, Djin Djin which had guest artists like Carlos Satana and Alicia Keys.
