Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience Jonathan left the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja for Bayelsa State earlier today, May 29, 2015 following the swearing-in of Muhammadu Buhari as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
According to The Nation, he took off via a Nigerian Air Force Aircraft Flight 5N-FGW at about 12.03pm in company of his wife, ADC Colonel Ojogbane Adegbe, and some of his security personnel.
Some of those who bade him farewell at the Presidential wing of the airport are some members of his now dissolved cabinet. Along with former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, former Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke; former Aviation minister, Osita Chidoka, former FCT minister, Bala Mohammed and other members of his cabinet.
Reports say the couple touched down at Otuoke later in the afternoon with a mammoth crowd gathered to welcome him.
