
The 2016 Golden Globe Awards ceremony held on January 8, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California and hosted by TV host, Jimmy Fallon.
Musical film La La Land, written and directed by Damien Chazelle, made a record-breaking impression with seven wins in all categories it was nominated, including for Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Original Song and Best Screenplay.

Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling also went home with the Best Actress and Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Musical or Comedy) respectively, for their roles in the movie.
Elle, directed by Paul Verhoeven, followed with two nods in the film category.
The Night Manager leads the Television category with three wins, while Atlanta, The Crown, and American Crime Story received two awards each.
