Funke Kuti, separated wife of famed Afrobeat maestro Femi Kuti has buried her maternal grandmother Princess Mabel Gage Oduntan (née O’dwyer) who passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012.
Oduntan who was 84 years old before she died was buried on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. The funeral ceremony took place at the All Saints Church, Yaba, Lagos, quickly followed by the interment which held at the Ikoyi Cemetary.
‘I was her first grandchild and we were really close’, Funke, who now runs her own entertainment company, told NET.
