Samir Ait Said broke his leg horrifically while performing in the vault gymnastic event at the ongoing 2016 Rio Olympics.
The 26-year-old has taken off without incident but got his landing all wrong, stumbling to the ground as he did so. This left his left leg bent gruesomely at an almost right angle.
Said, was taken off on a stretcher and acknowledged the crowd as he departed.
