23-year-old John Idoko, a football fan, has been reported dead after being stabbed with a broken bottle in the city of Lagos. This happened after the crucial Chelsea vs Barcelona UEFA champions’ league semi final on Tuesday April 24, 2012.
The news was confirmed at about 10pm by the state police command representative, Mr Joseph Jayeioba. Meanwhile, the owner of the viewing centre where the deceased watched the match also reported that almost all the property in the centre was destroyed as fans went crazy. Mr Jaiyeoba said no witnesses came forward, and no arrests have been made so far.
In a separate incident on the same night, we’ve been told two other football fans died in a car accident along Ojota area of Ikorodu road in Lagos after the same match. No details yet on their identities.

I tink its gud 4 dem; dey choose 2 die dat way, coz it doen’t worth it. Now FC Barca & Chelsea Remain intact. Shameless Illitrates! I pray dat God will giv d Family d fortitude to bear d loss.

What people do for entertainment. Can they use the same zeal for God?
The most senseless death is the one sb ‘dies for nothing’. Most of the Chelsea fans are soccer holigans, so is no news when dog bits a man.
