As Nigerians continue to chastise President Muhamadu Buhari over the drama that ensued in his unveiling of ministers which waited till the final hours of September before #TheList was presented to the Senate, music fans have also continued to lament over Nigerian musicians who promised to drop their albums in September but failed.
While Star Boy boss, Wizkid announced that he will not be dropping his album again this year, others like Davido, Jesse Jagz and Brymo have simply not given reasons why their records didn’t drop in September.
Out of the 7 top acts who announced that their albums will drop in September, only three fulfilled the promise. Orezi, Iyanya and Samklef all dropped their records as scheduled while fans of pop star Davido ended the month disappointed. Although the HKN boss continually disclosed that the album was ready for release, no reasons have been given for the delay of the album which is his sophomore.
In the same vein, Choc City rapper, Jesse Jagz and his former label mate, Brymo have also failed to deliver as promised or give reasons why their expected albums didn’t drop. The wait continues.
Failed promises! Unlike President Buhari, Davido, Wizkid, others fail to deliver in September
