Those who attended Funke Akindele‘s grand wedding on Saturday, May 26, 2012 will have fond memories and tons of stories to tell but there’s one that’ll stand out, especially for the ladies: that moment when Funke decided to share her bouquet with the single ladies.
Funke stood at the tip of the elevated of podium backing the single ladies who had gathered around to catch the bouquet.
While the wedding ceremony’s host Gbenga Adeyinka joked with the ladies and even suggested Channel O VJ Derenele Edun to make his way to the ladies circle, Funke teased and teased, attempting to throw it. She finally grabbed the microphone and said ‘My darling colleagues and friends I thank you so much for coming out. You are single today right? Believe in God, he will do it because I’m a testimony. It’s a big surprise I know to you all and I thank God for this. I won’t throw this, I will share it‘.
And share she did – Funke plucked out the flowers from the bouquet and handed them to the ladies who excitedly received them..
