
Portugal are the first to take their place in the Euro 2016 semi-finals.
The Portuguese beat Poland 5-3 on penalties in their quarter final match, with both teams having played 1-1 after 120 minutes.
Poland’s Jakub Blaszczykowski is to blame for failing score from the penalty spot as Rui Patricio saved his kick to ensure Portugal’s victory.

The quarter final game played at Stade Vélodrome in Marseille was officiated by Germany’s Felix Brych who awarded a total of five yellow cards for fouls committed during the night.
Portugal will play against whoever wins the quarter final game between Wales and Belgium in the next play off round.
