Chicago rap group, Hot Stylz is suing Eminem and Interscope for $8m claiming the ‘Rap God’ features a 25-second sampling of the group’s 2008 debut single, ‘Lookin Boy’ which was released on May 13, 2008.
The song was produced by Southern hip hop producer, Nitti and features vocals from fellow American rapper Yung Joc.
Hot Stylz members allege Eminem, who is also known as Slim Shady, sampled ‘Lookin Boy’ without their permission.
