Veteran actor and TV host Steve Harvey, who hosted the pageant, announced Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo as the winner and she was already crowned by the outgoing queen, Paulina Vega until Steve Harvey rushed back on stage to state that there was a mistake in the announcement.
In what can be described as an embarrassing moment, the tiara was immediately removed from Miss Colombia by Miss Universe 2014 and Pia got crowned.
Steve Harvey also took to Twitter later to restate his apologies while saying that it was a honest human error.
