MAVIN Records boss, Don Jazzy says he’ll always appreciate the help and support of ex-label mate and partner D’banj when he was starting out as a young producer.
In a series of messages posted on the micro blogging site, Twitter, the 30-year-old producer also mentioned former boss, JJC, singer 2face and his label artistes, D’Prince and Wande Coal, describing them as useful and instrumental to his success as a producer and a label executive.
Thanking D’banj for making him a ‘Don,’ Jazzy praised Wande Coal for blessing his beats. He gave thanks to 2face for being an inspiration and shouted out JJC, whom he said helped him hone his production skills to perfection.
Don Jazzy started his messages stating the need to appreciate people: ‘Dont hoard people’s kudos. dont be afraid or ashamed appreciate your tweeps. give kudos where kudos is due. Give #kudos today.’
He then went on to mention names. ‘KUDOS to our baba 2face for just being who he is. i dont think he knows how much he has influenced me.. 2 JJC 4 w/out him i wld still B doing tungba music. not saying that is not gd but i found out i was better doing something else. Kudos to my bro, Dbanj for without him, my production skils i gathered from JJC might have been a waste. dude made me don jazzy … to Wandecoal for making my beats sound great with his voice from heaven. and for the name Don baba J…to D’prince who made sure he criticized all my beats till i made Tongolo remix. i kinda always wanted to prove to him i could do it’
Don Jazzy, who now controls the MAVIN crew, once co-owned Mo’Hits Records with D’banj until their split in April 2012, which led to the birth of MAVIN Records and DB Records, owned by D’banj.

I appreciate the fact that Don Jazzy has openly acknowledged D’banj who undoubtedly is Africa’s number 1 Entertainer.Any objective person definitely knows that D’banj was very much instrumental to Don Jazzy’s success.Don Jazzy himself was also quite instrumental to D’banj’s as well.In the real sense of it,they co-existed perfectly and helped each other immeasurably.To those who kept emphasizing that Don Jazzy made D’banj and intentionally failing to admit that D’banj equally helped and made Don Jazzy,its a big shame to those ppl.Good that its all out in the open from the horse’s mouth and thank God all that silly phrase of ‘Don Jazzy made D’banj,Without Don Jazzy,D’banj is nothing ……blah blah blah wld definitely be put to a STOP now.For him(Don J) to openly state such a fact,one cannot help but imagine all the factors he put together to make such a concluding statement.Am really impressed he voiced it out tho’ and i truly wish they work together in future.D’banj is a free-spirited person and strikes me as someone who doesn’t ponder on grudges whilst Don Jazzy strikes me as someone who genuinely loves D’banj.May the Almighty continue to bless them both and guide them along the right path and ofcourse,wishing Tuface the very best too.

heared all the shout outs and i know tuface, wandecoal and ve heared of D’prince on wizkid’s album but #nohatin, Ehm, who is Don jazzy and D’banj? Neva heared of them.
2face is Africa’s greatest singer; Dbanj is Africa’s greatest entertainer;Donjazzy is the best producer..They are all gud in their own rights and masters of their own art.. They are simply d best.. 2baba has a gud voice; kokomaster has the charisma;Donjazzy is also good.. Dbanj and donjazzy complemented each oda; they both made each oda..
