Recently, the Nigerian Air Force took delivery of four used ‘Super Mushhak’ training jets from Pakistan.
The Air Force was so proud of the aircraft that they put the news on Facebook and ran a live television broadcast for the ‘induction’ ceremony.
Like some commentators, we were concerned that they looked old.
They cannot be compared with the Vampire 115 that the South African Air Force uses for training.

A little research showed that the Super Mushhak jets were made in Pakistan in 1969. They are old.

The four delivered recently are the first batch of 21 aircraft the Federal Government purchased from Pakistan to fight Boko Haram. Which is fine.
But if we’re going to do a big ceremony, please let it be for something like the Russian Air Force training jet.

This our Mushhak ceremony is just hand falling.
