The music world is yet to come to terms with the sudden passing of British pop icon George Michael who died on Christmas at the not-so-advanced age of 53.
During his career that started in 1981, he sold over 100 million records.
But for people like these who didn’t know the man who made being cool a dream of many young kids in the ’80s and ’90s…
Sigh, I don’t even know who George Michael is/was. Just hearing that name for the first time tonight sef

@temiokomi I only just heard of him a couple of days ago, when I listened to his version of Careless Whisper. And now he’s dead? Life!!!

… it might be a good idea to share something he did that will resonate with most millennials.
George Michael was the first guest on the very popular show Carpool Karaoke.
In 2011, the British comedian James Corden started the segment as a skit for BBC charity event Comic Relief and Michael was the first guest.
The segment has gone on to feature several celebrities from Adele, Justin Bieber to Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder and Michelle Obama.
This was Corden’s tribute to him following reports of his death.
I’ve loved George Michael for as long as I can remember. He was an absolute inspiration. Always ahead of his time.
