The voters’ mobilisation concert scheduled for today will go on as planned, in spite of the announcement last night, that elections have been pushed forward by six weeks.
After engaging young voters across the country with stellar performances from superstar artistes, the RSVP Concert Tour will hold today in Lagos. The Peace Concert is headlined by Nigerian music icon, 2face Idibia, with support from pop star Oritsefemi, singer Brymo, and rapper Reminisce and Fuji giant, Pasuma.
The RSVP concert will hold at the Classique Events Place at 7A Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja on Sunday, February 8, 2015.
‘This Sunday is going to be exciting… I can feel it! We need to encourage the youth to come out enmasse and vote for the government that will change our society. This concert is a great way to reach out to these young music lovers,’ 2face said.
Entry is free for voters who have their PVC while those who don’t have their PVCs will pay a token. Following successful concerts in Port-Harcourt, Kaduna, Jos and Owerri, the RSVP Concert tour is a voter education and youth mobilisation initiative of EiE Nigeria, a non-partisan coalition of individuals and organisations committed to instituting a culture of good governance and public accountability in Nigeria.
