Nigeria’s new President, Muhammadu Buhari in his acceptance speech has promised to battle corruption. He vowed during his inauguration speech that he is for all Nigerians and not for any particular person or group of persons.
Buhari also commended immediate past President, Goodluck Jonathan for his support during the transition programme, saying he has set a precedent for others to follow.
As well as saying Boko Haram will be tackled headlong with the immediate relocation of Defence Headquarters to Maiduguri, Buhari also vowed to tackle the issue of epileptic power supply so Nigerians can be peaceful to themselves, even as he said his government would devise better ways to tackle unemployment in the country.
In all, the trending line of his inauguration speech is: ‘I belong to everybody, I belong to no body.’
