Days after announcing his retirement from football, David Beckham is considering owning a club in America’s football league, Major League Soccer (MLS).
NET gathered that Beckham’s advisers are in talks with the MLS on the possibility of creating his own franchise club in the league – and with a fee of 25m Pounds, David Beckham could be allowed to create a franchise in the MLS.
‘There have been discussions with his advisors, his management, preliminary discussions’, Major League Soccer executive vice-president of communications, Dan Courtemanche, said.
The MLS currently has 19 teams and will be creating room for the 20th next season.
