The Portugal superstar had expressed his frustrations by kicking and slapping Cordoba players, Edimar Fraga and Jose Angel Crespo in the 82nd minute of the game.
For his indiscretion, he was issued a straight red card and later took to his Twitter account after the La Liga match to apologise for his act saying: ‘I apologise to everyone and especially Edimar for my thoughtless action in Saturday’s game.’
