The station, led by Lebanese businessman, Ameen Mousalli, would be rolling out the drums to celebrate the landmark achievement.
Cool Fm Lagos 96.9 started operations in October 1998, followed by Cool FM Abuja in November 2001, Cool FM Port Harcourt in November 2008, and then Cool FM Kano in October 2011. Since inception, the radio station and its out-stations, have grown immensely and are widely regarded across the nation as Nigeria’s No1 hit music station.
Cool Fm is owned by AIM Consultants Limited, AIM Architects & Engineering Consultants Limited who are also owners of Wazobia and Nigeria Info FM, and according to them, they reach an estimated population of almost 70 million in Nigeria taking into account the population in Lagos, Rivers, FCT, Kano and adjoining States, capturing over 45% of the audience in Lagos and environs, 60% in Rivers and environs, around 40% in Abuja and environs as well as 15% in Kano.
