Chris Rock reportedly wasn’t happy in his relationship for some time.
The 49-year old comedian, who recently filed for divorce from Malaak Compton-Rock after almost 20-years of marriage, decided to end their romance because he no longer felt fulfilled.
A source said the ‘Top Five’ star, wants a ‘simple divorce’ and there is no third party involved.
The insider also dismissed rumours the split is already contentious, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
But another source close to Chris – who wants joint legal and physical custody – previously claimed he feared Malaak wanted to stop him from seeing their daughters.
The friend added: ‘He lives for his children. They come first.’
