The shocking news of KOGA Entertainment’s CEO, Chris Jeyibo‘s involvement in a fatal car accident filtered through at the early hours of Friday, October 7 and many have been left wondering what exactly led to the crash.
At the time of his death, Jeyibo was riding in a white 2014 Range Rover Sport, which rammed into a parked truck along Magodo road, Lagos.

All versions of the vehicle ‘come with airbags and stability control’ according to our findings, and ‘the Sport’s stability system is programmed with lots of subroutines to be run as accident avoidance.’

There was no avoiding the parked trailer unfortunately.
Top Gear’s review of the vehicle reads, ‘there’s not a whisper of roll nor suggestion of understeer. In the SVR, it’s nothing short of extraordinary. Subtle braking of the inside wheel, centre and rear differentials, and an adaptive dynamic system that monitors and responds to its sensor readings 500 times per second.’

The car also has roll-stability control, trailer-sway control, as well as corner-brake control, all of which apply brakes selectively to neutralise the threat of diminished vehicle control.
But then, the crash was unprecedented, making the impact more devastating, as the entertainment mogul died on the scene despite Sport’s ‘surround-view camera and a blind-spot detection system’.
