Rihanna announced on Saturday, June 30th, 2012 that her grandmother Clara passed away from cancer.
The Bajan singer, who was very fond of Clara, could barely make it through her performance in Sweden after she received the news, and was reportedly intoxicated during the concert.
She then spent most of the night posting memorable pictures of her with her grandmother. ‘Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you’ Rihanna tweeted.
Rihanna’s ex-boyfriend Chris Brown’s mother also sent her condolences via Twitter; ‘Angel may God be with you and your family in your time of sorrow. love you angel’ to which she responded ‘thank you! Love you mama.‘
