
He attended Kings College, Lagos and went on to study law at the University of Jos. Audu founded Chocolate City Music in 2003 and grew the company from having just one act, Jeremiah Gyang to becoming one of the largest labels on the continent with a total of 14 artistes at present.
Audu, a public speaker and activist, is also a fellow of Nigerian Leadership Institute. He is as well a partner at the Law Allianz and co-owner of Oriental Express, a Chinese restaurant based in Abuja.
Audu is married to Zel, a medical doctor who hails from Anambra State. Late June 2015, Audu Maikori stepped down as CEO of Choc City Music and was replaced by MI Abaga. He went on to become President of the Choc City Group consisting of Chocolate City Media, Chocolate City Music, Chocolate City Distribution and STM.
