Have you ever imagined what the real housewives of ISIS would look like? You don’t have to imagine any longer.
BBC Two has a new comedy series titled the Real Housewives of ISIS, which features in its show Revolting, and it debuted earlier this week in the UK.
The show has quickly provoked all sorts of strong feelings.
The reality sketch, which mocks the ‘Real Housewives’ franchise, depicts two of the four housewives wearing matching suicide vests while making fun of it. It also shows others lamenting their husbands cheating on them with 40 virgins as well as using ‘ISIS emojis’ on their Instagram posts.
The skit has vastly divided fans on social media, with some blasting the show for making light of an incredibly sensitive subject. Others, however, saw the funny side of the show and praised the BBC for tackling a sensitive subject and making light of it in a traditionally deadpan British sense of humour.
What do you make of the skit? Watch it above.
