She’s done pretty well in the world of photography and now celebrity ‘lens woman’ Toni Tones is looking at conquering other aspects of the entertainment world.
Toni has, for the first time since moving home from the UK, switched positions, moving to the front of the camera, as she takes up the lead role in an upcoming TV drama titled ‘Gidi Culture’.
According to the producers of the series, GC shows the lives of several young people from different walks of life as they relate to each other under various climates of prosperity and privation often associated with life in Gidi (Nigeria).
Toni, plays Halima Dan-Ladi Adebayo who is a naïve upper class Nigerian attending graduate school in New York City. When a grave accident occurs in her apartment, Halima’s divorced Mother, Mariam Dan-Ladi, coerces her daughter to return to Nigeria indefinitely and attend the Lagos Business School. Life in Gidi exposes Halima to a whole new world she never knew existed.
