Mark Myrie a.k.a Buju Banton has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in a Florida court on Thursday, June 23, 2011. The Jamaican Reggae/Dance hall artiste has been on trial since 2009 and eventually was found guilty by the Jury on cocaine conspiracy charges on Tuesday, February 22, 2010
The 37-year-old singer whose 2010 ‘Before The Dawn’ album just won him a Grammy Award for the ‘Best Reggae’ has 15 children.
Banton made his first appearance in 1992 and has so far released 10 albums.
