Multiple reports reaching us say that Nigeria reggae musician Ras Kimono has died on Sunday morning.
The 60 year old reportedly took ill on Saturday night and was rushed to a Lagos hospital where he died this morning.
Ras Kimono, real name Ukeleke Onwubuya, was one of the pioneers of the reggae genre in Nigeria and used his music for social messages and to draw attention to poverty within the masses.
