There’s been a lot of buzz around the big announcement by MTV today. Well, the announcement has been made and it’s about the 5th edition of MTV Africa Music Awards. Popularly known as MAMAs, the prestigious award will hold on July 18, 2015 in Durban, South Africa and nominations for the award will be released on June 11, 2015.
The MTV MAMAs made it’s debut in Abuja, Nigeria in November, 2008. The second edition held in Kenya in October 2009 while the 3rd edition was held in Lagos, Nigeria in December 2010.
After a 3 year break, the award ceremony returned in June 2014 and it held in Durban, South Africa and it is returning for the 2015 edition.
