The Brazil 2014 World Cup final between Germany and Argentina has been rated as BBC’s highest coverage of the year in the United Kingdom.

Former England international, Gary Lineker presented the coverage of the World Cup final on the BBC, which won the ratings war with ITV, followed by fellow BBC pundits like Alan Shearer alongside Rio Ferdinand and Alan Hansen who also made appearances at the BBC studio.
