BET nominee, Stonebwoy says he suffers from bipolar disorder

Ghanaian dance-hall star, Stonebwoy who was recently nominated for the 2015 BET Award as one of the contenders for ‘Best International Act: Africa has shocked his fans with the revelation that he suffers from Bipolar.

Speaking with Omg Ghana in a recent interview, the ‘Baafira’ singer disclosed he was born a twin but sadly his twin died and he is suffering a metal disorder which means he flares up at the slightest provocation.

‘I’m a twin, but my other twin passed on, so I’m two in one now. I’m Bipolar. That’s something most people don’t know. That’s my other side; I can switch to the other side any moment.

‘Sometimes I drop the headphones and scream just to get the attention of Dakay. But that’s the other guy and not me. Sometimes when I’m the other guy I do weird things.’

Citing an extreme example, Stonebwoy, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, said: ‘There’s also this one time that I punched a windscreen and it burst. I had to pay for the windscreen and I realized that was the only money I had on me at that time.’

Regarded as one of the fastest growing talents in his native Ghana, he won the 2015 ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the  Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
