Seun Oloketuyi, organizer of the annual Best of Nollywood Awards and publisher of online platform, Naijahottestgist was on Sunday 21st of June arrested and detained by security forces for publishing a story which was deemed unfavorable to the Governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode.
In a telephone chat with NET correspondent, Oloketuyi confirmed he was detained for over 30 hours and was only released late Monday evening. He disclosed that the security operatives quizzed him over how he got that piece of information.
He however declined making further comments stating that some influential people in the state already have pacified him not to make further comments.
NET gathered that Oloketuyi’s site had reported a story about Governor Ambode walking out his deputy over a minor argument during a meeting.
The Lagos state government is yet to respond to this development.
