Benedict Cumberbatch is planning to buy a $10.8 million mansion in Los Angeles.
The ‘Imitation Game’ actor – who recently got engaged to theatre director, Sophie Hunter – has recently viewed a seven-bedroom, 9.5 bathroom Tuscan-style villa, which sits on 2.5 acres of manicured lawns in the exclusive Hidden Hills neighbourhood and is planning to make an offer on the property.
An estate agent told the Daily Express newspaper: ‘Benedict’s representatives have indicated he is ready to make an initial offer which will not be too far off the asking price, so he could be moving in early in the New Year.’
The lavish property is within a gated community and as well as a number of bedrooms, it also boasts a cinema room, bar, gym, library and a garage big enough for five cars.
The 38-year-old star was recently nominated for two Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards and hailed the honour as an ‘amazing early Christmas present’.
