When the 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija started about twenty days ago, some of the housemates who attracted the audience’s attention the most were Tobi, a handsome, well-built hunk of a man and Teddy A, the ‘bad boy’ who soon developed a fan-base because of his tattooed body and dreadlocks. There was also Miracle, the pilot who is known as a smooth operator – slim, fine and well mannered.
As the show began, Biggie introduced them to their new partners and they subsequently began to fall for their partners as they would in the real world. Tobi particularly may have thought big brother had a scoring sheet to grade them on how they treated their partners and treated his assigned partner, CeeC with love and respect. Unfortunately for him, Ceec a beautiful and well endowed 25-year-old lawyer mistreated him, disrespected him and turned down his advances at every opportunity she got.
Soon enough, people began to tag him as a weakling. It got to the extent that the Association of Naija Twitter trolls made him an object of mockery with their numerous memes and banters. In addition, the Convener of all Yoruba demons worldwide (Deji Mercury) rose up to dismiss him as an official member.
Miracle and Nina, on the other hand, seemed like a perfect couple. They shared a bed, their shower hour was lit and they even had sex on live TV! Such bliss, when you don’t have Lagos’ hustle and bustle bothering you yea? Wonderful story!
For Big Brother, it is, however, his house and his rules, so he decided to switch the game and unpaired them.The tables immediately turned and the scales fell from Ceec’s eyes. The almighty Ceec who treated Tobi with utter disrespect and nearly accused him of sexual assault discovered that somewhere in her heart, she had deep feelings for him, but Tobi was not having it.
For Nina, it has been a case of forgotten priorities. The light-skinned sweetheart whose former partner Miracle is now Head of House is almost becoming a shadow of herself. It seems as though she has almost forgotten that she is in a game to win N45million and is upset about not sharing Miracle’s luxury bed all because Miracle is now paying more attention to his new partner Anto!
Regardless of Nina’s feelings, an unperturbed Miracle is out there living his best life and playing the game! Sis, Pay attention and face your front ma!
And while some of the housemates are finding love, some of them cannot stand each other; Rico and Ahneeka used to make us think we were watching Fuji House of Commotion while Khloe and Kbrule who almost came to blows after cussing out each other were disqualified. Talk about teaching morals on live TV.
In the end, regardless of who wins, the show is just a game of numbers where emotions are born and slain just like in real life, the ones who are are there placeholders, only there to eat Biggie’s food will eventually be voted out and only the ones who can stand the test of time will smile home with the treasure chest.
