When Kemen was disqualified for groping fellow housemate, Tboss who was fast asleep, it took only few seconds before Nigerians came for Debie-Rise.
She had kissed Bassey in his sleep, despite, just like Tboss had done to Kemen earlier, being rebuffed by him earlier when he was awake.
The organizers took a very strong stance against sexual assault. It must not tire every individual to understand that lack of consent in sexual matters is tantamount to rape. That’s all.
So for many Nigerians, when Kemen was sent out, Debie-Rise should have received the same punishment. Many of them saw it as a slap on the wrist while the more colourful minded described it as ‘gender inequality’.
So Debbie rise gets away with assault and kemen is evicted….
Say NO to gender inequality

What is good for the goose ought to be good for the gander. If the house has clear rules for sexual impropriety, it should be followed to the letter.
If Bassey had refused to kiss Debie-Rise when he was awake, she should not have kissed him when he slept. And she did receive a warning from Big Brother for that. Should she have been disqualified? Sure thing.
The Bassey-Debie-Rise incident happened a full week ago. There were hardly any calls for her disqualification. Trying to raise it now only points to the fact people do not want only him to be the scapegoat.
It seems like the Nigerian way of finding whom to drag along when an individual is sinking.
It is disingenous to try to connect the two. They are unrelated incidents and should be treated as such.
Would these fans have wanted Debie-Rise out if Kemen had not been disqualified? Not likely. They would probably remained fixated on the steamy romances going on in the house.
It is our way to find normalcy in abnormal circumstances. That’s why when you criticize President Buhari, his supporters would tell you ‘Goodluck Jonathan should have been criticized too.’
Kemen’s disqualification happened because he was a perverted individual who took advantage of a woman who had previously rejected him. That is the fact of the matter.
Folks should not try to soften it by bringing up Debie-Rise. If we felt so strongly about her actions, we should have been more critical before last night.
