According to an article by popular Ghanaian art and entertainment critic, Francis Doku, who reviewed the show held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, Basketmouth did not treat Pat with deserved respect.
‘The lowest and most despicable part was when headline comedy act, Basketmouth stormed the stage, collected the microphone from Pat Thomas while he was performing and asked him to leave the stage,’ he writes.
Francis condemned the comedian’s attitude, for not giving the legend the desired respect, asking if Basketmouth could have done extended the same treatment to Nigerian music legend, Sunny Ade.
‘I have never seen anything as disrespectful. I mean imagine a comedy show in Lagos with a Nigerian legend like Sunny Ade performing and a Ghanaian comedian like DKB goes on stage, takes the mic from him and asks him to leave the stage.’
