Nigerian Pop duo Skuki have rejected an award nomination for Best New Act at the upcoming Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
The brothers won the award for ‘Next Rated’ at The Headies in 2010, and four years later, they’re mad they are still considered rookies.
On May 29, 2014, organizers of the annual Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) unveiled this year’s nominees list fielding Skuki in the ‘Best New Act’ category alongside newbies Patoranking, Charass, Tekno and Runtown.
‘Best new act…bawo? Backward never NEA Awards kindly eject my name from that category’, one half of the group Peeshaun tweeted.
‘Not moved by social acceptance or crowd mentality. Awards don’t put money in my bank account. Dat nomination had beta been an error. (sic)’, he continued.
Skuki released their debut album ‘B.A.N.G.E.R’ in May 2010.
