Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) on Tuesday March 12, 2013 hosted the leaders of the Association of Music Artistes Managers of Nigeria (AMAMN) at the COSON Corporate Headquarters in Opebi, Lagos.
The executive members of AMAMN led by their President, Sijuade Adedokun were at COSON office to show solidarity for the organisation’s giant strides in the area of music copyright and sound recording in the Nigerian music industry.
At the meeting, Adedokun said that the members of his association ‘are satisfied with the massive effort COSON has made in the last two years to better the lives of Nigerian musicians and were eager to work closely with COSON in delivering greater dividends to the Nigerian creative community’ while also seeking the support of COSON for its activities especially in the area of its upcoming international conference.
COSON boss, Tony Okoroji urged the members of the Association to amongst other things, ‘maintain a high level of professionalism in their calling and be united by supporting their leaders while also charging them to understand their distinct and important role in the society.’
Okoroji used the occasion to inform the managers of the importance of the COSON week and to encourage their artistes to take active part in the entire seven-day event.
