Queens Park Ranger player Loic Remy has been banned from driving after he admitted to getting behind the wheel while drunk.
Remy was stopped by police when driving his Porsche Cayenne car at 4.15am towards his home in Northumberland on Sunday, March 9, 2014. The test showed he had 56mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
According to reports, the French player, who was on loan at Newcastle United when he committed the offence, appeared before District Judge Jane Hamilton at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court, where he was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £3,750, plus £200 costs and a victim impact surcharge of £120.
Remy is rumoured to be moving to Arsenal player before the season starts.
