Fans in Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium witnessed a team scoring five goals again in the stadium today, though it was their team that did all the scoring this time.
The Gunners recovered from crashing out of the UEFA Champions League in midweek to qualify for the FA Cup semi-final with a 5-0 win over Lincoln Town.

The win makes Arsenal the club with the most semi-final appearances (29) in the competition, one more than defending champions Manchester United who face Chelsea in the last quarter-final on Monday.
Today, Lincoln were resolute against a wounded Arsenal looking to bounce back from their embarrassing exit in Europe.
And for long, it looked like the non-league side would succeed in frustrating the Gunners until Theo Walcott broke the deadlock after 45 minutes.
Olivier Giroud made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute while a Luke Waterfall own goal five minutes later all but ended the FA Cup dream for Lincoln.
A sublime effort from Alexis Sanchez in the 72nd minute and Aaron Ramsey walking the ball into the net in the 75th put the icing on Arsenal’s win.
Sanchez also hit the crossbar with a rasping free-kick before full time.

In the end, it’s a welcome result for Arsenal fans after the nightmare Bayern Munich put them through.
