Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has suffered a heart attack and is recovering in the hospital.
Reports say the 76-year-old took ill on Friday, December 30 and according to Arsenal ‘is recovering after suffering a heart attack, following a bout of pneumonia’.
‘Peter is currently being treated in hospital. He is making a good recovery. The club wishes Peter a full and speedy return to health and our thoughts are with him and his family’, the Gunners said.
Hill-Wood who assumed the Chairman’s role in 1982 is the third generation of his family to serve as Chairman of Arsenal, following his father, Denis Hill-Wood (in office 1962–1982), and his grandfather, Samuel Hill-Wood (1929–1936 and 1946–1949).
