Apple has reportedly rejected a masturbation app to be included in their app store.
The app called ‘HappyPlayTime’ (created by self-taught illustrator, designer and front-end developer Tina Gong), is an educational female app that was created to ‘help remove the stigma’ associated with a woman, err, touching herself down there.
‘I got a solemn call from our reviewer who told me that HPT would not be allowed on the app store, even with a 17+ rating’, Gong wrote on the HPT website.
According to Gong, the reason given was that ‘the concept was not something that Apple wants to go forward with’. There are currently no other kind of masturbation apps in the store.
Some say Apple’s new decisions (including their ‘Beats by Dre’ buy out) are not in sync with the late co-founder Steve Jobs’ business model.
Do you think ‘radical’ Steve Jobs would have rejected a female masturbation app from the app store?
