From far away in America, Angelina Jolie has joined in condemning the recent attack by dreaded terrorist sect, Boko Haram on Baga, a community in Borno State, Nigeria.
Jolie, a Hollywood actress and United Nations ambassador said each new crime committed by the group exceeds the last brutality in a statement, stressing the dire need for the group’s activity to be crippled in Nigeria.
‘Each new crime committed by Boko Haram exceeds the last in brutality. This is a direct consequence of the environment of total impunity in which Boko Haram operates. Every time they get away with mass murder, rape and the enslavement of women and children, they are emboldened,’ the acclaimed actress who recently directed her first movie, Unbroken, said.
The latest condemnations of Boko Haram activities followed reports of a massive onslaught in Baga, with the Internet agog with reports around 2, 000 people including women, children and the aged were killed in the rampaging attack.
