Andre 3000 is set to star in the second season of ABC’s ‘American Crime’.
The OutKast member will be reuniting with the show’s creator, John Ridley, who he previously worked with on ‘Jimi: All Is By My Side’.
Ridley praised Andre 3000’s performance in ‘Jimi: All Is By My Side’. He said: ‘Working with Andre changed my life, personally and professionally on ‘All Is by My Side,’
The producer told Variety. ‘To have him joining me for season two is pretty phenomenal.’
While speaking on the new season film, Ridley said: ‘He’ll be starring opposite Regina King as the parents of a teenager who gets accused of the show’s central crime.
‘He will play Michael Lacroix, an architect. He and his wife, Terri, are prominent members of the community in which they reside. A true power couple, they have the financial means and the acumen needed to defend their son.
‘Personally, I couldn’t be more excited than to work again with Andre. He is an amazing individual, a true artist, and ‘All Is by My Side’ is one of the reasons I was given the reins on ‘American Crime. Folks at ABC were absolutely moved by Andre’s performance in the film, and by the overall language of cinema we used in telling the story.’
