Amanat Singh (9) and her brother Abhay (11), saved the lives of people at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek Wisconsin on Sunday, August 5, 2012 when they warned people of an approaching killer, Wade Michael Page.
The Washingtonpost reports that the kids while playing outside the temple witnessed Page killing two persons and ran into the temple to alert the adults who had gathered at the temple for Amanat’s birthday.
Their act of bravery gave people ample time to hide from the murderer before the police gunned him down.
They have been recognised as national heroes.
