Africa Magic Viewers’ Awards (AMVCA) released the highly-anticipated list of nominees for its eighth edition on Saturday, March 19, 2022, and the race for the Best Actress in a Comedy category will be keenly contested by six screen goddesses who have contributed to the film industry via their latest high-grossing movies.
The Africa’s foremost award show, notable for honouring industry-bests, for its category of Best Actress in a Comedy (Movie or TV Series), nominated the AMVCA veteran Funke Akindele who won the award in 2014 and 2016 was nominated for Omo Ghetto the Saga. Bimbo Ademoye for Breaded Life, Nse Ikpe Etim for Quams Money, Bisola Aiyeola Dwindle, Nancy Isime for Kambili. The Whole 30 Yards, and Sarah Hassan for Just in Time.
These talented actresses must now battle for the ultimate plague. The winner of the category will be announced on May 14, 2022, during the AMVCA award-night which holds in Lagos.
Funke Akindele, a multi-talented actress and producer, is a regular winner at AMVCA. At the nomination announcement on Saturday, she scooped five nominations with ‘Omo Ghetto The Saga’.
